About The Frock Factory....

The Frock Factory was established in 1984 by UK based designer Jill. Since then it has gone from strength to strength building a prestigious and ever expanding client list who have commissioned us to make bridal and bridesmaid dresses, evening gowns, prom dresses and college graduation ball gowns or simply a special outfit for a special occasion.

Ours is a family owned and run business, now operating entirely via the internet, which ensures that we are able to keep our prices both realistic and affordable. We realize it can be a daunting prospect purchasing something so special over the internet, so we try to make the experience as pleasant as possible. We are able to provide our exclusive, quality, custom-made designer gowns and accessories directly to our customers via this website, whilst keeping within a reasonable price range.

Trading both in the UK and internationally we are particularly proud of our personal and friendly service as we feel this coupled with our bespoke service distinguishes us from mass produced high fashion. Every garment is hand-crafted to fit you to perfection.

Whether it be for that happiest day of your life, your prom ball or any formal occasion we always offer that personal touch.

Our exclusive designs are all made by our own closely-knit skilled team, in our own workshop premises, here in the U.K., thereby ensuring quality is kept to the highest possible standards. We don't manufacture for anyone else and all our gowns carry 'The Frock Factory' exclusive label.

If you aren't a standard size, are taller than average or very petite, or struggle to find full-length skirts that are actually long enough for you, we offer a made-to-measure service that covers most requirements. Please see our made to measure section for details of this service.

Because our customers have such a large variety of choices from which to pick all the different elements of their outfit, this means that EVERY order we produce is unique! It is for this reason that we are unable to offer refunds on orders or accept returns. Read our Terms and Conditions or read the concise version Returns and Refunds.

Brochures/Catalogues:
Please note: We do not produce a printed brochure or catalogue as our website is far more comprehensive and up to date as far as pictures, prices and information are concerned than a printed brochure could ever be.

Retail Shop/Showrooms:
We do NOT currently have our own retail shop premises or showroom. After many years of running our own boutique (now closed), like many other businesses we feel that the internet is the way forward!
Operating via the internet means that we can reach a much wider audience (worldwide!) whilst enabling us to keep our prices both reasonable and affordable.

Visitors:
Our business operates entirely via the internet. All orders are made online via this website or by mail-order. Our workshop premises are not open to the general public and we are not able to receive personal visitors at the present time.
